TENGKORAK - CRANIUM - FACIAL

Rangka manusia tersusun oleh sekitar 200 tulang yang terdiri atas tulang tengkorak, tulang badan dan tulang anggota gerak.

Tengkorak

Kepala (kranium), meliputi :

1. satu tulang dahi (os. Frontale)
2. dua tulang ubun-ubun (os. Parietal)
3. satu tulang kepala belakang (os. Occipetale)
4. dua tulang baji (os. Spenoidale)
5. dua tulang tapis (os. Ethmoidale)
6. tulang pelipis (os. Temporal)

Muka (Facial) meliputi :

1. satu tulang rahang atas (os. Maxilla)
2. satu tulang rahang bawah (os. Mandibulla)
3. dua tulang pipi (os. Zigomaticum)
4. satu tulang langit-langit (os. Pallatum)
5. satu tulang hidung (os. Nasale)
6. dua tulang air mata (os. Lacrimale)

(mak-sile)

max·il·las or max·il·lae (mak-silla)

• Either of a pair of irregularly shaped bones of the skull, fusing in the midline, supporting the upper teeth, and forming part of the eye sockets, hard palate, and nasal cavity; upper jaw.
